HAI Part Number: 44A00-2
Current Firmware Version: 2.16
Enhance the value and enjoyment of your home with a Lumina Pro, a central lighting and control system.
Lumina Pro provides the benefits of a sophisticated lighting control system by setting scenes, fades, and dimming levels.
Lumina Pro provides elegance and convenience to any new or existing home. Its unrivaled feature set and expansion options can make it a comprehensive smart home system.
The Lumina Pro is HAI's top-of-the-line Whole House Lighting Controller. It is designed for large residences and small commercial installations.
HAI Part Number 44A00-2 comes with everything you need to get started with sophisticated lighting control. It includes a Lumina Pro home control system with enclosure, lock set with two keys, Lumina Keypad, UPB™ PIM & cable, UPB™ phase coupler, serial cable, transformer & battery, manuals, and accessories. All you need to add are the HAI switches for the electrical loads you wish to control. |
|
Lumina Pro supports HAI's HAI Lighting Control (HLC) products, which include dimmers, Scene Switches, and House Status Switches. It can operate lighting devices by other manufacturers, including Z-Wave™, ALC hardwire, RF, custom hardwire, and others provided by HAI's Connectivity Partners.
A Lumina Pro system can control your home lighting by schedule, motion detected, door openings, sunrise, sunset, alarm activation and more.
Lumina Pro has an astronomical clock and automatically adjusts for daylight savings time in order to always provide accurate dusk to dawn lighting control. Optional wireless door contacts and motion detectors add occupancy based lighting control.
- Have your lights come on automatically by scheduling them at certain times, by sunrise/sunset, or even by an event.
- Lights along the driveway, on the front park or in the garage can come on when you arrive home. Turn on all lights with the touch of a button if something goes bump in the night.
- Simply press one button to turn off all household lights when leaving to save energy.
Lumina Pro lets you easily set elegant lighting scenes for each room or for the whole house, without the use of complicated software programs or the need to rewire your home. |

Customize these modes to set your lighting control or home control experience. For example:

Away: Lights and Temperatures adjusted for energy savings
Vacation: Lights change periodically for lived-in look
Party: Landscape and indoor lighting set beautifully
Special: Create a unique scene based on occasion

Easy to Install
The Lumina Pro is designed for professional installation. If you use HAI's Lighting Control (HLC) devices, there is no need to run new wires as long as you have standard residential wiring (120/240V electrical system with a neutral wire at each switch location). HLC uses UPB™, the most advanced digital communication standard available that transmits over standard electrical wires.
All of Lumina Pro’s features can be setup on-site, without a computer, using the included LCD Keypad. A new “quick-set” feature simplifies naming light switches on the keypad. If desired, programs can also be created and stored on a personal computer with Lumina set-up software.
Lumina Pro provides HLC Configuration, a set-up feature that configures HLC Dimmers, Switches, Scene Switches and House Status Switches. Lumina Pro makes initial installation easy by configuring the addresses and links in each HLC device automatically. Once configured by Lumina Pro, adjustments to room scenes are very simple: just tap a scene button five times to memorize the settings of the lights. |

A Lumina Pro controller can be integrated to a security panel to allow for security activated lighting, emergency lighting, and temperature control.
HAI's Lumina Pro has an award-winning integration with the DSC PowerSeries of alarm panels. |
|
If you add HAI's Omnistat Communicating Thermostats, you may control your home's temperatures through your Lumina Pro system by schedule and activity - such as home, asleep, away, room occupancy, outdoor temperature, etc.
Using HAI temperature and humidity sensors allow for temperature-based programming of events in your Lumina Pro. The temperature may be used to activate programs for controlling temperatures in attics, garages, greenhouses, basements, wine cellars, coolers, etc.
Adding HAI's optional telephone package or one of its Internet control software packages allows you to warm up or cool down the house, check on temperatures, and save energy while you are away from home. |
|
You may add additional interface options, such as an OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreen (HAI Part Number 53A00-1) to your Lumina Pro system. |
Each Lumina Pro installation must include at least one Lumina Keypad (HAI Part Number 33A00-19) or Lumina Keypad with Built-in Speaker/Microphone (HAI Part Number 33A00-20). |
You may add telephone access with voice menu to your Lumina Pro (HAI Part Number 44A01-1) that you may use when you are inside your home or call from outside your home. The Lumina Pro has a built-in modem for remote programming and status, and it has a built-in Ethernet port that allows remote programming and status, including over the Internet. |
An HAI Scene Switch (HAI Part Number 38A00-1) allows you to control all of the lights in a room or area. Lights may be turned on, off, dimmed, brightened, and set to four different scenes to provide limitless options for both security and aesthetic lighting in your home. The buttons on this switch may be custom engraved so that you may "name" the scene that each button controls. |
An HAI House Status Switch (HAI Part Number 38A00-2) is a master lighting control device that shows the status for up to eight rooms. If any light is on in a room, that button is illuminated. Pressing a button on the House Status Switch will turn all of the lights in that room on or off. The buttons on this switch may be custom engraved so that you may "name" the room that each button controls. |
Choose from one of HAI's award-winning software options, such as Snap-Link (HAI Part Number 1120), Web-Link II (HAI Part Number 1108, requires Local Area Network), or Home Control for Windows Media Center (HAI Part Number 1109). With Snap-Link or Web-Link II you can securely control your home from any Internet enabled computer. Home Control for Windows Media Center allows you to change settings to your home while sitting on a sofa watching TV. |
|
The Lumina Pro may be integrated with Hi-Fi by HAI. It may also be integrated with audio distribution systems from NuVo, Proficient Audio Systems, Russound, SpeakerCraft, and Xantech.
HAI's OmniTouch Touchscreen or OmniTouch Touchscreen with Video may be used to graphically select and distribute music from any audio source to different rooms in your house simultaneously and independently. You can control on/off, volume, muting, transports, audio source, and many other functions for each audio zone.
Music can be coordinated with your activities:
- Set every to room to the iPod™ and preset the volumes for a party.
- Mute bedroom and outdoor zones when it's bedtime.
- When pressing the AWAY button on your Lumina Mode Switch before leaving the house, Lumina Pro automatically turns off your audio system.

For example, you can have your HAI Home Control System remind you every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM that tonight is trash night. Note that the Lumina Pro system has an expanded vocabulary for these voice notifications and announcements.
Lumina Pro systems have three built-in serial ports to allow expansion of your system using other HAI products or products from our Connectivity Partners. |
